Freddie

Frederick Charles Bedik-Harrison has arrived! Freddie was born early, on July 12. Even though he was more than a month ahead of schedule, Freddie weighed a hefty 5 pounds, 14 ounces. Freddie started life with an IV port, a CPAP, supplemental oxygen, and a feeding tube. While he's bulking up, he's spending some time in the NICU.

I'm happy to report that Freddie had shed all of his accessories, except for his feeding tube. In the meantime, he's showing that he's good at breast feeding and before long he'll wean himself from his feeding tube too.

Big brother Lloyd, who is age 19 1/2 months, came to the hospital to spend some time with Mom and Dad. 

Troy has been discharged but she's still spending most of her time at the hospital so she can nurse Freddie. Lloyd comes over for snuggling time.
