Fall and Homecoming

After a disappointing loss in the Homecoming football game (first loss on the new field), last night was the Homecoming dance. Mary went with a group of friends and they had a great time. The theme of the dance was "neon" so that should explain some of the bright color choices in their clothes! I'll post a couple of photos from the picture-taking session, which was at one of the other kids' house. I have lots more photos, which will be on my Facebook page. Then I also have a couple of photos on here from this morning. Today is turning out to be one of the most beautiful days of the year. It's in the mid-70's but fall is in full swing. The leaves are turning and falling, and it's so pretty outside. After the dogs and I had a wonderful morning walk, I've spent the rest of the day outside enjoying the day reading the Sunday paper. The two outdoors pictures I've posted are of leaves against our house, and also an amazing wasps' nest that is hanging from a tree in our backyard. We discovered it late in the summer, and as the wasps don't bother us too much (now that we stay away from their big nest) we've decided to let it stay there til we get a hard freeze, then take it down. If anyone has any expertise on removing these things, we are still very much open to suggestions! I also have more Fall photos, which I will post on my Facebook page.

  1. They certainly dress casual for the dance! Mary looked beautiful!

For your wasps I recommend WASP FREEZE.
