After Saturday's washout, we had two baseball games to see on Sunday, and see them we did! It was over eight straight hours of baseball, but we loved each and every minute of it. Nationals Park is beautiful and we got to see it on a beautiful day. Of course, Peter has been there many times already, but for the rest of us it was a first. Honestly and truly, it's a great stadium and well worth a visit if you like baseball and are ever in DC. The crowd had an amazing number of Brewer fans, and it was also a very well-behaved crowd. (Do you hear that Cubs fans . . . . .???!)
We arrived in time to stop in the outfield seats and watch the Brewers take batting practice. (Spoiler alert: it apparently didn't make much of a difference, as the Brewers lost both games.)
The kids waiting for the first game to start. I have apparently trained them well, as they're still willing to smile for pictures, even against their better judgment, i.e., when they think I've taken enough pictures already.
A way to make friends with other people in the stands is to ask them to take your family's picture!
After baseball, we met our nephew, Eric, for a Texas BBQ dinner and enjoyed the chance to visit with him while he tried to convince Peter to join his softball team.
