Graduation: The Prequel

On our way to Peter's graduation, Brad and I stayed a night in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and immersed ourselves in Civil War history for 24 hours.

The Visitor Center is a huge new museum dedicated to the Civil War, with a focus on Gettysburg.  It's state-of-the-art and well worth a visit.

While at the museum, Brad met a new friend.

We also visited the Gettysburg National Cemetery, which is where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address.

 Historic downtown Gettysburg is beautiful.  We stayed at this B&B and spent some time walking around the downtown area.  Keeping to our Civil War theme, we also saw The Conspirator at the local historic theater.  All in all, we are glad we visited and wouldn't mind returning another time, as there was more to see than we had time for.
