Mother's Day

The day after Peter's graduation was Mother's Day, so we enjoyed some time together before the three of us headed home to Connecticut.  We went out to a beautiful brunch and afterwards took a walk around the neighborhood.  This is me and our three kids.  (John on a stick is basically standing over my head.)
The four of us after brunch.  In case you're wondering where is John on a stick  . . . .  well, someone had to take the picture . . . . . (haha)
Here he is!  John on a stick enjoyed the adorable Johnny Jump-Ups.  The flowers in DC were so pretty.  Azaleas and Irises were in full bloom.  The trees were completely leafed out.  It was gorgeous!
Mary practicing her candid photo taking skills while we were on our walk.
We found a large Farmer's Market.  Lettuce, asparagus, and rhubarb was aplenty.  Look at all the lettuce greens in this photo.  Isn't it just stunning?
Here's one more look at the Farmer's Market.  (Photo credits to Mary.)  After our walk, we took Peter home and got in the car for the daylong drive back to Connecticut.  It was an absolutely wonderful weekend.
