Welcome June

This looks like an ordinary tree and I love it because it's strong enough to support half of the hammock.  In the two years that we've lived here we've never noticed . . . . . .
. . . . . that this tree produces flowers.  I just caught sight of them the other day.  Because the flowers point up, and because they're somewhat high (I could barely reach to pull down a branch to examine them) I guess they're hard to spot if you're not looking.
Aren't the flowers gorgeous?  And I have NO IDEA what they are.  I just did a little Googling and came up with nothing.  Does anyone out there know what this is?  Otherwise I will check with a nursery.
These are my favorite irises.  They are so light and breezy.
In general I'm not crazy about alium, but in this location I actually kind of like it.
The rhododendron are in full bloom.  Even though some of our plants got hit hard this winter, we still have more blooms than I feel anyone deserves.  They're spectacular.
"You gotta start somewhere."  Today was the first strawberry harvest.  We have lots and lots of berries on the plants, so the basket will be full before long.
