This is what we got after harvesting the main broccoli heads. These were the "side shoots." (And there are still more on the plants.) Not bad for a second act.
This is that same broccoli, along with some summer squash (patty pan and globe zucchini) and a cucumber from the rogue cucumber plant. (Unbeknownst to me there was a cucumber seed in the zucchini seed packet, so we got an unexpected cucumber plant.)
Carrots, green beans, lettuce, some herbs, and two strawberries. (In case you haven't noticed, there hasn't been much news about strawberries this year. They are definitely not the superstars they once were. Oh well, I guess every plant is entitled to an off-year.)
