Red October

In Connecticut the red colors come last in the fall after most of the yellow and and orange leaves have fallen, but they are still my favorite. Above is a maple tree outside our house. On Sunday night, before the Hurricane arrived, Brad and I took Allie for a walk in town. It was getting close to sunset so it was almost dark outside, but still the reds really stood out. While he had Allie's leash, I took a few photos. I hope you enjoy them. By the time you read this post, the storm will have come through and I am guessing that these leaves will be down. But I suppose we should expect as much by the first of November, storm or not.
