We spent a few days in downtown Chicago in November of 2000, taking a cross-cultural training class to prepare us for our move to Poland. This mail truck was a welcome sight one day when we were either coming from or going to our class. Back in those days, Lance Armstrong was one of John's sports idols, arguably top on his list. Things have changed a lot for Lance in the last 12 years. As for John, well, I won't attempt to analyze his current feelings about Lance. All I will say is that 12 years later, the one solid, steady, and unabiding truth from this picture is ..... John's devotion to the Green Bay Packers.
