Yesterday my friend Susan (both new to St. Louis, we go back 30ish years) and I checked out Fitz's, a restaurant founded by the makers of locally made root beer. We bellied up to the bar on Friday afternoon and enjoyed a delicious frosted mug of root beer.
All of the root beer (and the other sodas they make) is bottled in a bottling room viewable from the restaurant. (Is it me or are any of you also having flashbacks to Laverne and Shirley?)
Who knew soda came in so many colors anymore?! This place is walking distance from the house we'll move into next month. The food looks great, so I foresee many return visits!
