Flashback Friday

As you probably have figured out by now, I often try to tie the Flashback pictures to something present day. However, I don't have a good reason for this Flashback picture, other than it's spring now and this picture is from another spring - 1989. (So Peter, now you know how small you were when the Berlin Wall came down.) I guess I'm feeling a little lonely here in this house with no kids, and seeing this picture reminded me that there was a day when we were on the opposite side of this time - just getting started with our family. Peter was only about eight months old and John was more than a year away. Today, that baby I was holding is just a few years younger than I was when I was holding him. So time flies on the one hand, but on the other hand it seems to stand still because I can't believe this photo is 24 years old. Of course, I think you'll agree with me when I say that the best thing about this picture is ..... I no longer have those glasses!
