John finished his summer job this week. I picked him up in Boston yesterday and brought him home where he'll be living with us for about the next six weeks, until he moves to St. Louis in the fall. Here he is walking some of his things to the car.
By the time he was done the car was full. This was the second carload I took. The other one I took last week when I was in Boston visiting John and my college friend Jill.
John said his goodbyes on our way out of town. First he stopped by the Tufts Conference Bureau, where he has worked for the past four summers. They clearly love him there and he has had four wonderful summers working there.
We also stopped by the Experimental College, where John has worked during the school year ever since freshman year.
This is John with the director and assistant director of the Experimental College. Both there and at the Conference Bureau I heard about what a wonderful guy John is. But of course, I already knew that!
I'm sure it was sad for John to leave the place he has called home for four years.
